Electra Battery Materials appoints Paolo Toscano as Vice President, overseeing North Americas first cobalt sulfate refinery project in Temiskaming Shores, Ontario, marking a significant step in mining and battery materials production.

Paolo Toscano has been appointed as Vice President of Projects and Engineering at Electra Battery Materials, effective immediately, to lead the cobalt refinery project.
The refinery, located in Temiskaming Shores, Ontario, is expected to be the first of its kind in North America, producing Cobalt(II) sulfate essential for battery manufacturing.
Toscano brings over 30 years of experience in mining, previously serving as Senior Vice President, Project Engineering and Construction at Marathon Gold, enhancing Electras project leadership.
