Central Ohio Joins Nationwide Effort for Safe Prescription Drug Disposal Day

Central Ohio is participating in the 29th National Prescription Drug Take Back Day on Oct. 25, organized with the Drug Enforcement Administration to safely dispose of unused prescription drugs.

• On October 25, nearly 4,000 law enforcement agencies, including those in central Ohio, will host sites for the 29th National Prescription Drug Take Back Day.
• Residents can drop off old and unused prescription drugs at thousands of collection sites nationwide, aiming to reduce drug abuse and prevent overdoses.
• The initiative, in collaboration with the Drug Enforcement Administration, seeks to address the growing issues of drug abuse and accidental poisonings related to unused medication.
