Ghazala Hashmi

Ghazala Firdous Hashmi ( gə-ZAHL-ə HASH-mee; born July 5, 1964) is an India-born American politician, academic administrator, and educator who is the lieutenant governor-elect of Virginia. A member of the Democratic Party, she has served as a Virginia state senator for the 15th district since 2020.
